Maruti Suzuki in top gear
Maruti Suzuki India surged 5.45% to Rs 1560.40 on BSE, extending gains for the second consecutive day, on reports demand for passenger cars remains upbeat in the domestic market.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was provisionally up 183.68 points, or 1.09%, to 17,032.51.

Maruti Suzuki launches new SX4
While news of the impending launch of the SX4 saloon has been doing rounds, Maruti Suzuki has quietly slipped in a new version of the car today.
The facelifted Maruti Suzuki SX4 has marginal changes, including a new honeycomb grille, a new optional body kit on the ZXI, new 10-spoke alloy wheels, refreshed interiors with beige tones - thus effectively making it two tone and new illuminated stereo controls on the steering wheel. Maruti Suzuki to relaunch power-packed SX4
Passenger car leader Maruti Suzuki India has stopped manufacturing its most expensive car SX4, the mid-sized sedan, reinforcing the widely-held belief that the small car leader does not have the expertise to make and market big cars.
Maruti will relaunch SX4 within a fortnight with a new 1.6-litre engine which will have a much higher pick-up. It will be more expensive than the current top-end Zxi variant, which comes at Rs 7.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Maruti will also rope in Bollywood star John Abraham as the new brand ambassador for the sporty model to arrest falling sales.
